At Innovative Travel Solutions, we are dedicated to creating impactful solutions that evolve with the changing needs of tomorrow. Innovative Travel Solutions (ITS) is the innovation team at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), voted North America’s Best Airport for 10 straight years by Skytrax World Airport Awards.

As a not-for-profit, community-based organization, we are not government-run or beholden to shareholders which allows us to take an entrepreneurial approach to solve airport challenges. If we see success in our own airport and think it will help other airports, we launch it to the international market.

We are the industry’s largest provider of kiosk-based border control solutions, with demonstrated experience having helped more than 250 million passengers safely clear the border.

History

We first implemented the kiosks at YVR in 2009 and saw incredible success, revolutionizing the industry by reducing passenger wait times by more than 60 percent, and causing other airports to quickly become interested in this technology. To date, we have sold more than 1,700 BorderXpress kiosks at 43 airports, seaport,s and onboard sites around the world.

And we have the advantage of using YVR as a live test site to build the best possible technology prior to going to market.
