Peru Advance Passenger Information System

Peru raises the security of its immigration and customs control to the highest international standards with the implementation of the Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS), which allows to know in advance the data of passengers from flights to the national territory, reported the Ministry of Interior (Mininter).

“Before, we had to wait for the arrival of the flight and that the passenger showed up at the Migration post to just carry out his immigration control, crossing and filtering his identity information. Now, with the APIS, we will have hours in advance to carry out this information crossing, ”said the head of the Mininter, Carlos Basombrío, at a press conference.
