A new generation of retrofit self bag drop, the Embross VELOCITYBagDropRetrofit (VBD-R) delivers the most advanced capabilities ever delivered in a retrofit bag drop solution.

Combining extensive deployment flexibility with cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning capabilities, the VBD-R utilizes an innovative “Smart Arm” design that can be fitted over any existing induction belt and traditional check in counter infrastructure.

The “Smart Arm” system houses a complete baggage processing system including automated bag tag and RFID scanning, 3D baggage recognition and profiling, conveyability and intrusion detection.

On the passenger side, the ultra compact kiosk interface boasts an 18.5-inch vertical touchscreen for ease of use and a highly configurable and modular core that can be equipped to deliver everything from a rapid, drop only service (2-step) to a full service (1-step) configuration for check in, self tagging, payments and more.
