What is Thailand APPS?
APPS : Advanced Passenger Processing Service is a service which airline operator send passenger information, air crew, information and flight information to process before aircraft depart from, arrive to or transit through any international airport in Thailand. Information will be processed by Thai Immigration Bureau to verity if a traveler can travel into or deart from Thailand.
Participate Agencies
Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT)
AOT will start using Thailand APPS on 1 December 2015. Arrival passenger, transit-transfer passenger and departure passenger will be charged 35 THB.
Passenger uses international flights will be charged 35 THB per leg. (Arrival, Transit/Transfer, Departure)
Thai Immigration Bureau
Thai Immigration Bureau will pre-process every passenger arriving, departing or transiting through Thailand and reply back to airline with boarding directive Such as, “Board if DOCS OK” or “Do not Board”.
Thai Customs Department
Thai Customs Department use Advance Passenger Processing to process any air transport passenger against customs law and regulation.
Airlines
Airlines are the most significant agency for Thailand APPS. They provide information of passengers, aircrews and flights to fully supply the purpose of the system.
Directive message for each passenger will be sent to airline, such as, “Board if DOCS OK” or “Do not Board”.
