Embross Common Use CUPPS
The Embross Common Use Self-Service platform (CUSS) is deployed by the world’s leading airports to deliver self-service check-in capability for multiple airlines on a single kiosk.
Embross CUSS is a full and compliant implementation of IATA CUSS v1.3 / v1.4 and supports all airline common use applications including legacy apps covering CUSS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 able to be deployed on any kiosk.
Embross CUSS continues to prove itself as one of the most robust and reliable platforms for over 20 years.
As key contributors to IATA CUSS working groups, Embross has a progressive and active CUSS program. This ensures that the platform always reflects the latest standards from baggage self tagging, accessibility, biometrics and more.
Features:
Trusted, Versatile, Reliable
CUSS is proven, reliable and always up-to-date, supporting the latest standards including CUSS 1.4 and ensuring legacy support down to CUSS 1.0 like airline menus and controls other aspects of running a multi-application kiosk. CUSS 1.3/1.4 compatible middleware can run on common use kiosks, bag drops and other passenger service touchpoints.
Widely Used CUSS Platform
Embross has one of the most used kiosk CUSS platforms worldwide, supporting over 140 airlines applications. Embross is an industry leader in kiosk middleware with over 17,000 kiosks installed using CDS across multiple industries including travel and transportation, retail and government.
Leading the way in IATA Standards
Embross is a leader, helping drive the standard forward as Chair of the IATA CUSS Working Group. This standard defines how an application must start up, how it can find and use kiosk devices, and what technologies it can use to interact with the user. Defines and establishes rules so that multiple applications can run on a single kiosk without interfering with each other.
Supports Embross Common Launch
CUSS supports Embross Common Launch, which is a fully customizable, touch-enabled, home screen offering space for up to 50 airlines to provide self service check-in on a single kiosk. The user is able to select their airline and the common launch will initiate that airlines’ check in application. Common Launch can be configured to time out to a branded screen saver or animation that returns to the menu screen when touched. Airline selection options can automatically grayed-out and be unavailable if outside their terminal operation hours.
Embross Consumer Device Services (CDS)
CDS is a layer in the Embross CUSS platform that manages kiosk devices, processes events, and handles errors. Embross CDS provides comprehensive diagnostic control for servicing and testing components and configuring the Embross CUSS platform as well as shutting it down quickly and securely. The Embross CDS client also provides communication and event transactions through to Embross Kiosk Manager for real-time monitoring of the kiosk, its applications and devices.
Customized to fit your needs
While all CUSS platforms implement the CUSS standard, vendors may include additional features and benefits in their platform software to compete with other vendors, for commercial reasons.
